Selki
Song:
I was borne by the water - by the sultry sea,
as the breaking waves - set me free,
so the broken waves - are all's left of me.
A Selki's song - chimes of purest
things,
embrace the winter - with lovers
dreams...
We held each other - buoyed by
ocean's swells,
grasp her fingernails - and clasp
seashells...
Her hands reached out - and I did lunge,
her black hair glow'red - in the smouldering sun,
as her dark hair devoured - my yielding passion.
Her arms reached out - to hold me,
I felt the cold - console me...
And I know I can breathe - underwater,
I swear I can breathe - the cool blue water,
I know I can breathe - the aquamarine sea.
Bodies ripple smooth - in the
darkening sky,
as the last drop of sun - sank
within her eyes...
Her silk deft touch - my clothes
undone,
delerious - the ice of her tongue...
In the face of death - sweet molten bliss,
the taste of her breathe - the salt of her kiss...
How did my life - sink to depths like this?
The shallowest strife - the deepest abyss,
words like a knife - a sacraficial tryst.
Her body slips between
me - eyes open wide,
her soft wet mouth - a fisherman's prize...
And I know I can breathe
- underwater,
I swear I can breathe - the cool blue water,
I know I can breathe - the aquamarine sea.
And at night - when the waving
ocean,
pounds his fists - then the thin
hand
of the wind - brushes between
my fingertips,
And the Selki's lingering lips
- are singing,
I wish.
